Downstream Risks of Covid-19 Infections

I hesitated to post this, given the situation we are in across the globe. But given many seem to be in the ‘let it rip’ mindset, I really wanted to take some time to talk about other downstream impacts of Covid-19 infections other than MIS-C and Long Covid.

Over the last few months, data is emerging that show Covid-19 infections can also cause a new onset of autoantibodies.
Autoantibodies are antibodies that attack the body’s own organs and tissues over time. This can trigger new onset of a variety of autoimmune disorders.
